The Creative Student Showcase!
<back>
AA unique forum for writers, painters, film makers and
anyone else to present their work to UMass students.@
In 504 (1st Floor) Goodell on Scheduled Tuesdays
This forum is open for all
college students to present their work.
It=s sponsored by the Commonwealth College (the honors
program at UMass). They=ll pay for the pizza, posters, and E-mail the entire
honors community at UMass. It=s a great opportunity to present stuff that would
otherwise have a very limited audience.
Depending on the general interest in your subject, you could have
anywhere from just 20 friends and a few strangers, to 80 UMass students.
The first showcase featured
Daniel Trask on March 9th. It was a
MONSTROUS success! 65-70 people showed
up. They listened, with great enjoyment,
to readings from Daniel=s novel, and talk on writing and publishing. 18 Antonio=s pizzas were consumed along with many bottles of soda. DH and the Gentlemen played a hell of a set
after the reading!
The only showcase scheduled
for the future is John O=Neil=s presentation
of his bizarre, sexuality obsessed films.
His night will not take place for over a month and other Tuesdays are
open if you=d like to participate.
For more info and help with
getting your presentation scheduled, planned and publicized, E-mail Dan at: dtrask@student.umass.edu
Come share your lovely music,
tasty art or whatever with the campus!
