Two Hoers:  Tommy and Dan

Daniel Trask first breathed life in Brockton, Massachusetts in 1982.  He currently attends UMASS Amherst where he is majoring in biology.  Daniel also plays piano and runs track and field for UMASS. During the summers Daniel works on a farm in Brockton where he hoes, picks, and plants.  He is an avid watcher of films and reader of books. His favorite singer is Roy Orbison. In high school he ran track and played soccer.  He was also a member of the school's excellent drama program.  In his senior year (2000), Brockton High won the state drama festival with the play Learn Me Somethin'.  Daniel played one of the lead roles, an eccentric and  inspirational teacher who dreams of raising free-range chickens.

Daniel has been writing fiction since he was very young.  His first completed story was called "Pizza."  However, My Dog, The Meat Eater is his first published work.  He is unsure of what he will do for a career. Writing will continue to be a large part of his life, but it will not be his sole occupation because one of his main sources of inspiration is crazy co-workers.  Other sources of inspiration include ugly pets, embarrassing family members, and friends who drink heavily.

For much of Daniel's high school and junior high years two old ladies lived in his house with his family.  They were unable to care for themselves.  And for a period of ten weeks Daniel's father's former boss lived with the family as well.  The man was having a tough time with all sorts of crap.  All this house sharing had a big impact on Daniel as he was growing up.

Daniel likes dogs very much.  Unfortunately, the family dog was put to sleep at the age of sixteen.  He was a very family oriented pup and provided much inspiration for My Dog, The Meat Eater.  Daniel's family is very supportive of all his endeavors.  They help him with his writing, schoolwork, athletics, and everything else he does.
